Just when we thought the name of this game was actually going to be changed to “Aliens: Colonial Marines Forever” (a joke maybe some of you will get), Sega and Gearbox today have informed Gamespot that despite not not hearing anything about it for months on end the game was never dead, nor did they announce that it was.     And Gearbox confirmed that they were still the developer of the game.

“This is very exciting for us because we care tremendously about the project ourselves. However, since the project was originally announced, we haven’t announced any status changes and we decided awhile ago to try to ignore the rumors and speculation that we’ve seen come out about it. We prefer instead to focus on our objectives and our craft of game-making.”

Nice duck and weave there.    But we are pleased to hear that this highly anticipated PS3/Xbox 360/PC game is still coming.   Hopefully soon we’ll have some actual info about it to give you.
