File this one under “you have got to be kidding me”.   Nintendo has confirmed to USA Today that they are installing into upcoming Wii games, starting with New Super Mario Bros., a new help system Miyamoto is tentitively calling “demo play”.

Are you ready for this?    So lets say you are stuck on a level in the new Mario game.   All you’d have to do is pause the game……..and then let the computer take over and play the game for you.   Then when you are ready to jump back in, you can unpause the game and take over.  

Says Miyamoto:

In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, if a player is experiencing an area of difficulty, this will allow them to clear troubled areas and take over when they’re ready.  And yes, we’re looking into this for future games, too.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.
