Did the late King of Pop have something to do with Sonic the Hedgehog 3?
The news stations are filled with the latest sad news on the King of Pop’s death, but the gaming community is also mourning Michael Jackson’s death.
We all know that he had a close relationship with Sega in the 90’s with his Moonwalker games. He was also featured in various Sega games in the past (Space Channel 5) as well as non-Sega games in the present.
Most of us old gamers knew about the whole Sonic the Hedgehog 3 situation many years ago. Michael Jackson was also a huge gamer and filled his Neverland Ranch with videogame systems and arcade cabinets.
Rumor has it that Michael Jackson was going to compose the Sonic soundtrack, that was until all the craziness happened with those charges.
Here are two videos that pretty much shows that the end theme and Michael Jackson’s song are very much the same (this is a remix, but it blends perfectly). Jackson’s song was released 2 years after the Sonic 3 game.
Did he have a hand in the Sonic 3 soundtrack? We may never really know. Sonic fans think so, and will continue to do so. Either way it is still very sad story that has played out over the last 24 hours.
