In a post made by Evan Wells at the Official PlayStation Blog, there was confirmation that a Jak and Daxter HD Collection is slated to release in February of 2012.
The Jak and Daxter HD Collection features all three of the duo’s PlayStation 2 platforming adventures — Jak and Daxter and the Precursor Legacy, Jak II, and Jak 3 — each remastered in 720p high definition with improved visuals, smoother animations, and stereoscopic 3D support. Much like the other remastered PlayStation 2 collections, the Jak and Daxter Collection will feature trophy support for each individual game. The collection is currently being developed by Mass Media, who are working closely with the Naughty Dog team.
PlayStation fans have been requesting for a Jak and Daxter HD Collection for quite sometime now, so it’s nice to see Sony heed the call from the Jak and Daxter fanbase. The HD Collection will release for the franchise’s 10-year anniversary which will land on December 4th of this year.
