You read that right, Final Fantasy fans.
According to Siliconera, Final Fantasy is set to get a cut off the Mass Effect cheese with a Mass Effect costume specially designed for Final Fantasy XIII-2. Citing an anonymous source, Siliconera states that Square Enix and EA are working together to make this possible.
This isn’t extremely surprising when looking at Square Enix’s deal with Ubisoft that will allow Final Fantasy XIII-2 players to dress up as Ezio Auditore Da Firenze. However, this is slightly ironic when considering the words Daniel Erickson, Mass Effect’s writing director, had to say regarding Final Fantasy’s status as an RPG a few years back.
At any rate, we’re sure fans of both RPGs will be happy to see some form of crossover between the two.
