As the release date nears, Sega is prepping to make Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed a kart racing game to remember. With such high ambitions, Sega has announced a “Bonus Edition” that will feature brand new tracks, characters, and collectibles. The “Bonus Edition” will be made available via pre-orders, and as usual, “while supplies last.”
- The currently announced content includes an OutRun Bay track that’ll contain all the standard racing modes, and will also feature time trails and challenges exclusive to the track. The track is inspired by Sega’s classic arcade racer, OutRun, as the track overlooks a wonderful, glimmering, blue ocean and roads.
- Sonic’s long-time, knock-off rival, Metal Sonic will also be making an appearance in Sonic and All-Star Racing with the Metal Sonic Mod Pack; only in the bonus edition of the game. The pack will feature Metal Sonic and his levitating prototype vehicle built for racing.
- Additionally, the bonus edition will feature an Emoticon Sticker Pack, and bonus collectibles that can be unlocked throughout the game as reward.
Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed is dashing its way to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PlayStation Vita on November 20, 2012 in North America.
