Bioware has released details regarding the upcoming DLC packages, Leviathan and Firefight, as well as information concerning the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3.
Leviathan, the first mentioned DLC, will add a few extra hours to the single-player campaign as Commander Shepard travels to the edges of the galaxy in search of the Leviathan, “a creature powerful enough to kill a Reaper.” The downloadable content will feature brand new characters, an indepth look at the Reapers’ history, and two unlockable weapons, the T-12 Raider shotgun and M-55 Argus Assault Rifle.

FireFight Weapons Pack adds new single player weapons, featuring two “powerful” weapons and five bonus weapons to use in the fight to “Take Back Earth!”

Additionally, Bioware went on to show their excitement about their first ever title on a Nintendo console, the Wii U. Mass Effect 3 will release as a Wii U launch title, featuring a brand new control scheme designed for use of the WiiPad. The Wii U version of the title will also feature bonus DLC including the extended cut, an interactive backstory, and Mass Effect 3′s multiplayer.
