Playlogic Entertainment, Inc., an independent worldwide publisher of entertainment software, announced today that Obscure: The Aftermath for PSP (PlayStation Portable) System will ship to retail stores nationwide on September 29, 2009.
The survival-horror videogame will also be available for PSPgo System on October 1, 2009, shortly after the launch of the new hardware. As the sequel to Obscure, Obscure: The Aftermath chronicles the survivors from Leafmore High, now enrolled at Fallcreek University where the unsuspecting student body has a new addiction – strange black flowers that have suddenly sprung up all over campus. As the students begin experimenting with the substance they realize there is more to these flowers than anyone could have ever expected, turning their bad trips into a horrible reality.
In addition to the unique story-driven gameplay, Obscure: The Aftermath features blood-splattered imagery, dimly lit hallways, a wide variety of weaponry and demonic monsters. It also has a 2-player cooperative action option, and a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack performed by the Boston String Quartet and the Paris Opera Children’s Choir.
Delivering an intense survival-horror experience, Obscure: The Aftermath is rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB and will be available for PSP and PSPgo System. Developed by Hydravision Entertainment, Obscure: The Aftermath will retail for $29.99.

Wii Sports Resort is all about getting multiple people involved in friendly sporting competitions. Starting Oct. 12, consumers will have even more incentive to get in on the fun when Nintendo releases a special, limited-edition bundle of the Wii Sports Resort game and not one but two Wii MotionPlus accessories, which bring enhanced precision to games.
The bundle will be available at a suggested retail price of $59.99. Typically, Wii Sports Resort comes with a single Wii MotionPlus unit at a suggested retail price of $49.99, and additional Wii MotionPlus units are available at a suggested retail price of $19.99.
“Shoppers are looking for value as we head into the holiday season, and this Wii Sports Resort bundle is a gift that players of all ages and experience levels can enjoy,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Best of all, it instantly gets multiple members of the household engaged in playing as soon as the package is opened.”
The new bundle will be available while supplies last at most major retailers.
Through the end of August, Wii Sports Resort has already sold more than 1.25 million units in the United States alone, according to the NPD Group. Nearly 2.9 million Wii MotionPlus accessories are in the hands of the public. That includes all those sold with Wii Sports Resort, standalone sales of 1.36 million and an additional 257,000 bundled with Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10.

Sony announced at the Tokyo Game Show “Room” for the Sony PSP and PSPgo. Room will basically be a PSP version of “Home” on the PS3. Sony announced that Room will allow gamers to create 3D avatars, room spaces, blogs, photo albums and full chat support.
PSP Room does not have the look of the Playstation 3 version of Home, going with a more cartoon style. Check out the images below.

Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) today announced that it will release new Motion Controller (tentative) for PlayStation 3 (PS3) computer entertainment system in Spring 2010. The new controller, equipped with high-precision, highly accurate motion sensors, can deliver whole new entertainment experience on PS3 when combined together with the PlayStation Eye camera*1. Capable of recognizing and tracking a user’s face and voice as well as body motion, PlayStation Eye can also output the player’s image onto the TV screen. SCE will vigorously promote the expansion of this new experience only possible on the PS3 platform.
The newly announced Motion Controller is equipped with two motion sensors, three axes gyroscope and three axes accelerometer that can detect the controller’s angle and movement held in the user’s hand. Together with the PlayStation Eye camera for PS3 which can accurately track the absolute position of the controller, the controller can detect the natural and intuitive movement of the hand and reflect the precise movement on to the game. The sphere placed on the top of the controller is not only used to track the absolute position but can also give visual feedback to users by changing the colors or the illuminating patterns of the sphere. Furthermore, the new controller is also equipped with a rumble feature, familiar to the PlayStation DUALSHOCK series controller, delivering immersive gaming experience to users.
