The  cries for a PlayStation version of Mass Effect have been going on since the game was first released on the Xbox 360 a few years back. The popular RPG Third Person Shooter will finally be making it’s PlayStation 3 debut next year in 2011. For the first time ever, PlayStation 3 players will be able to join Shepard in his quest on a Bluray disc .

EA And Bioware announced it earlier today at GamesCon and it seems like they’re mighty excited to premiere the game on PlayStation 3. Don’t believe the news is true? The Bioshock series makes it’s return and takes the action on an entirely different level. Literally. Irrational Games is back and taking the BioShock series to new heights in all all new chapter in series, Bioshock: Infinite.

The game is set in 1912 in the fictional city of Columbia that is located many feet above the ground. Players will play as Booker DeWiit, who is out on a mission to rescue Elizabeth, a prisoner in Columbia since her childhood. Players will use their new abilities and tactics to fight off foes before the city of Columbia plummets to the ground.

As I was browsing the interwebz, I came across SEGA’s Blog and noticed that they will be publishing the latest Marvel Superhero Video Game. That game is Thor. Yes, we will have the first ever Thor video game coming in 2011 to compliment the film that will be released under the same name in the same year. Oh dear. . .

Thor: The Video Game will mark first time ever that gamers will be able play as Thor in a video game. The game will be available to play on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC, DS and PSP.

“We are proud to be bringing Marvel’s Thor to his first solo video game adventure,” commented Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA Europe and SEGA America.

“Thor: The Video Game will finally bring the immense power of this iconic hero to lifelong fans, and introduce the God of Thunder to a whole new audience as a true Marvel Super Hero.”

Let’s hope this isn’t a repeat of what happened to the horrendous Iron Man video Games in earlier years. We’ll see what happens when it’s released sometime next year. However, you can all assume. . .

Today on the PlayStation Blog, Sony unveiled a teaser to their much anticipated DC Universe Online MMO for the PlayStation 3 and PC. The teaser primarily advertises the full trailer that will premiere on Spike TV this friday @ 12:30am.

This trailer will give fans an idea of the story that will unfold within the game and as you can see, some of our heroes seem to have gone rogue. DC Universe Online will feature a star-studded cast with voice over talents from Joker legend, Mark Hamill to the Dark Knight himself, Kevin Conroy and James Marsters as Lex Luther.

It was announced today that EA Sports is currently in development of their next Fight Night game, Fight Night Champion. The Fight Night boxing series has been a major success throughout the years and it was only last summer that we experienced Round 4 on the current generation of consoles.

“The EA SPORTS Fight Night franchise has consistently delivered one of the best sports experiences with each iteration”, said Andrew Wilson, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Development, EA SPORTS.

“EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 4 was a genre defining game, and led the way as the industry transitioned to physics-based sports games. EA SPORTS Fight Night Champion will again forge new ground and deliver a sports experience unlike anything seen in the genre to date.”

According to EA, Fight Night Champion will have a lot more features to enhance the single player boxing experience with more emotion, drama, excitement and boxing tragedies. From what it seems, Fight Night Champion will be somewhat story driven throughout the course of the boxing legacy. There will also be gameplay improvements and visual enhancements to go along with the game. Only time will give us more details regarding EA’s Boxing franchise and we’ll be here to cover it.

Fight Night Champion will release for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and will ship in 2011.
