A little background about GNN…

I started the Gore Network (Gore News Network) to branch out on the current network of websites. The main reason was to start a horror website to give fans of the genre an alternate perspective on classic horror. The net is chock full of great horror websites. Many websites cover up-to-date news on current horror in the US (and abroad). I personally am not too crazy about the state of current horror.

Today fans get basic cookie-cutter horror movies that are all about CGI, about the best-looking actress with the best body, and no storyline. Most of these movies are remakes of classics. 90% of these flicks are just pure garbage. But what can you do? Hollywood is out to make a quick buck.

Thankfully there are some Directors and Producers out there that still get it… So there are still very good Horror and Sci-Fi flicks to be seen. Sometimes you have to look to Japan, Germany, Italy or other obscure places but they still exist.

I have been a fan of the Horror genre since I was a child. I grew up on Italian horror and to this day still love Lucio Fulci, Dario Argento, George Romero, John Carpenter, etc… My brother and I have attended many Horror and Sci-Fi conventions in the past. We have met a ton of great people in the Horror and Sci-Fi genre.

We still love good Horror, good Sci-Fi and good cheese when it is done right…
